Art gallery exhibition in Ikaalinen 1-31.8.2013
Finally my own exhibition has come! The exhibition is in Ikaalinen (in Finland) and will be open whole August. You don't need to pay if you want to see but have in your mind that you can still buy almost every art piece what you see there.
Also if you are wondering what the little red hearts are under some works then I can tell you that they are showing which works are sold. Hearts are the gallery's own tradition. Few works has their owner and can't be bought but feel free to still see them.
The exhibition is near of the Ikaalinen's high school and library. This all is about Chiringo by Nanaya and has some ecamples of my works. The ones in the gallery are mainly pop art. You will find etc. litography, acrylic paintings, mixed media paintings, digital art, jewelry and decor.
If you have very low budget then you can also consider to buying postcards that are only 2 euros.

The room looks so big and dark but it's not like that when you see it in real life.
The project started when I looked for an exhibition gallery to rent. And finally I find the one I wanted. One month cost me 175 euros but it was very good price for a whole month. I prepared my art works for the exhibition. First I finished some paintings that were still under making and borrowed the ones that were sold earlier. I ended up to use only two works that have already an owners. But I felt like it's good to show some finshed works that has an owners. The dog painting is one of those and was order from a customer who wanted her dog to be painted on canvas.
Like you can see I also invested on making digital art canvases and postcards. Those were done in differend companies. The digital canvases were made in Diiliprint (www.diiliprint.fi). The costs for a two big canvases were 80 euros. Postcards I printed in Multiprint (www.multiprint.fi) which is also known as Karhukopio. 100 postcards costed 50 euros but some of them were ruined through the printing process which was no good. And that's why I get those in sale for 50 euros when the actual price from before was about 55-60 euros.
Some fallbacks were also the fact that the gallery had construction on process just when I needed to put the exhibition in order. Damn storm, water and leaks. But luckily it was no big deal and the exhibition opened on the right day.
The Pohjois-satakunnan sanomat newspaper interwieved me about my exhibition and it's gonna come out in these days.
The working with Gallery Kehysmarkku was easy and the owner helped me to get everything in right places. Also I want to thank my boyfriend who helped me in thousand ways!
Calculation for those who are interested about see how much the exhibition costed me: 305 euros. Of course this price doesn't include the other art works' material costs or hourly income but I hope you still find this info useful.
